The third Gobi Charity Walk launch ceremony was held on 3 January 2026. It introduced the Walk Together, Share the Love theme, route, registration arrangements and charitable goals to the public. Guests including Dr Ko Wing Man, 蕭澤頤先生, 黃金寶先生, 梁安琪女士 and 趙曾學韞女士 attended in support. On-site registration and enquiries also helped more people learn how to participate.

Briefings, equipment sharing and route explanations come first

In February and March 2026, the Foundation held briefings and sharing sessions covering route information, equipment preparation, training advice, previous participants’ experiences and on-site questions and answers. These sessions helped participants understand the physical, psychological and team-support arrangements before departure.

Supporting one another at the most exhausting moments

Walking together

Supporting one another at the most exhausting moments

The embraces, support and waiting for one another along the Gobi route are the images that most powerfully reflect the Foundation’s mission. The Foundation hopes to bring this spirit of companionship back to the city, so young people, families and communities know they need not face hardship alone when support is needed.

During the opening ceremony, each team captain took the stage to receive the team flag, pose for photos and present the team name, song, chant and spirit. The captains then returned to the stage to take the pledge and wave their flags on behalf of all team members, showcasing the spirit of the Gobi Charity Walk.

Completing the Gobi route is not the finish line. The 2026 event continues the Foundation’s strong focus on youth emotional well-being while combining the strengths of healthcare, corporate, volunteer and community partners. It turns the resources and attention generated by the event into sustainable support for schools, families and communities.

The third event brought together guests, partners and participants. From the launch ceremony and briefing to the event in Dunhuang, charitable commitments gradually became collective action.
